Uniform Curfew Ordinance|
In 1989, during the first year that the Lancaster Inter-Municipal Committee had staff support, it prepared a uniform curfew ordinance that all LIMC municipalities could adopt. This involved a study of existing curfew ordinances, meetings with police chiefs and other municipal personnel, and discussions at LIMC meetings. The intent was to have uniform curfew regulations throughout the LIMC area so that residents did not need to be aware of varying regulations as they traveled through two or more municipalities. By 1990 all LIMC municipalities had adopted the uniform ordinance, either exactly as recommended by the LIMC or with very minor revisions.
