Sample Sign Regulations|
In 1993 the Lancaster Inter-Municipal Committee completed sample sign regulations that its member municipalities could adopt as part of their zoning ordinances. Seven municipalities adopted the regulations initially, thus providing similar allowances and restrictions on signs in those municipalities and making it easier for professionals, business people, and others who work in more than one municipality to deal with sign issues. The regulations had extensive revisions in 2001, and more recently there have been discussions about election signs and other issue signs. Sign regulation enforcement personnel from the LIMC municipalities meet occasionally to discuss issues they've dealt with and possible revisions to the regulations.
